KwaZulu-Natal Scuba Diving Safari - 10 Days

Scuba dive on Aliwal Shoal and Sodwana Bay in KwaZulu Natal, exploring the reefs of South Africa. Between dives sample Zulu beliefs/traditions and their traditional dishes. Visiting St Lucia and enjoy nature at its best. This is truly an African safari adventure.

You will be met by your host in Durban & transferred to your accommodation on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast. Check-in & relax for the rest of day. (B&B)

The next two days, you will enjoy 2 dives a day on the Aliwal Shoal, wrecks & surrounding reefs.  Breakfast before your 2nd dive. Depths on the Shoal range from 6m – 30m.  Large numbers of Raggedtooth Sharks frequent this famous dive site from June to November. One afternoon you will visit uShaka Marine World in Durban, and enjoy dinner at a seafood restaurant. Overnight south coast (B&B

Day 4

After breakfast we travel north into Zululand.  Arriving  at. St.Lucia you will embark on an boat cruise on the St.Lucia Estuary, which is situated in a World Heritage Site. This African experience on the Estuary will bring you up close to hippos, crocodiles & variety of bird life.  After the cruise we depart for Sodwana Bay.  Check-in to your chalet and relax before dinner.  Overnight Sodwana (DB&B)

Over the next 3 days you will enjoy 2 dives a day on various reefs.  Your first 2 dives will be on 2-Mile reef. Other reefs – 5, 7 & 9 Mile. Depths range from 9m – 30m. Breakfast before your 2nd dive. Afternoons free. Dinner. Other activities:- Horse riding, quad biking, turtle tours( Nov – March only). Overnight Sodwana (DB&B)

 

Breakfast then we depart to a game lodge, where we will search for the “BIG 5”. You will arrive n time for lunch. After lunch you will have time to relax in your luxury chalet or take a swim before your afternoon game drive in open game-viewing vehicles. Your African Safari experience will take you into the African bush in open safari vehicles where you will encounter Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephants, Black & White Rhino, Giraffe and many other animals. Dinner will be served at the Lodge.  Overnight Phinda (fully inclusive of meals & local brand drinks)

You have an early start to your day with a wake up call around 5am, followed by tea/coffee and then its off into the bush again for your morning game drive before breakfast. Relax by the pool or take a walk with your qualified ranger. Lunch. Leisure time – have a swim or simply enjoy your surroundings before your last afternoon game drive. After your morning game drive & breakfast, we depart for Durban
